Four Chicago Fire Players Called In For International Duty

CHICAGO(Nov. 9, 2015) – David Accam (Ghana), Daneil Cyrus (Trinidad and Tobago), Joevin Jones (Trinidad and Tobago) and Matt Polster (United States Under-23) have been called up by their respective national teams for upcoming international duty. Goalkeeping Coach Aron Hyde will serve as the goalkeeping coach for the United States during the international break.

2015 Chicago Fire MVP and Golden Boot winner David Accam joins Ghana for back-to-back 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches against Comoros in Moroni, Comoros on Nov. 13 and Kumasi, Ghana on Nov. 17.

Defenders Daneil Cyrus and Joevin Jones were selected by Trinidad and Tobago Men’s National Team head coach Stephen Hart for the Soca Warriors’ World Cup Qualifying matches against Guatemala on Nov. 13 at Estadio Mateo Flores in Guatemala City, Guatemala and against the United States at Hasley Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago on Nov. 17.

Midfielder and 2015 AT&T MLS Rookie of the Year finalist Matt Polster joins the United States Under-23 Men’s National Team for friendlies against the Brazilian U-23 team on Nov. 11 at Ilha do Retiro Stadium in Recife, Brazil and Nov. 15 in Mangueirão Stadium; Belém, Brazil.

Aron Hyde will serve as the goalkeeping coach for the United States for World Cup Qualifying matches against St. Vincent & The Grenadines at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Mo. on Nov. 13 and against Trinidad and Tobago on Nov. 17.
