Chicago Fire Original and current United States Men’s National Team assistant coach Jesse Marsch, fresh of his return from the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, will raise the Fire scarf and rally fans before kickoff of tonight’s match against defending MLS Cup Champions Real Salt Lake. “World Cup Night” presented by Best Buy at TOYOTA PARK kicks off at 8:30 PM CT (ESPN2/ESPN Deportes).

The Racine, Wisconsin product appeared in 200 matches for the Fire from 1998-2005. During his time in Chicago he helped the Men in Red raise the 1998 MLS Cup and three U.S. Open Cups (98’, 00’, 03’). Marsch serves as an assistant under former Fire head coach Bob Bradley for the U.S. Men’s National Team that recently reached the Round of 16 at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. The USMNT fell 2-1 in extra time to Ghana on Saturday, June 26, capping a run that saw the USA win their group after reaching a consecutive sixth World Cup since 1990.
